Need medical patients for Sonoma Index-Tribune article:
We are looking for volunteers to join past Mayor Ken Brown, SPG’s Jewel Mathieson and I to meet with Index-Tribune reporter Jason Walsh and talk about SVCG and its mission. Ideally we’d like folks who rely on cannabis for their medical issues and who can speak to why both outdoor cultivation and access to a local dispensary are so important.
Now is the time to get some press about our group and how it’s working to change hearts and minds. It’s time to put a “human face” on these issues: real people with real disabilities tired of fighting mindless bureaucracy while doing their best to be honest and law-abiding.
If you’re interested in participating, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
City Council meeting canceled, second reading of outdoor cultivation ban postponed:
The City Council is juggling some internal matters and it is necessary for it to again reschedule the next regular Council meeting. So, the second reading of the outdoor cultivation ban is now slated to occur Wednesday, May 30. This does give us some more lead time, which could be a good thing. We will keep you posted.
Still time for Sonoma residents to email City Council regarding outdoor cultivation:
Because the second reading of the outdoor cultivation been has been postponed to Wednesday, May 30 there is still time to email the City Council right from our website. All you need to do is fill in your name, email address, and zip code and press Send – easy as can be. (Please refrain from sending if you don’t live in the city limits. Those fortunate enough to live outside the limits, like Agua, Boyes and Fetters, are exempt from this ban.)
You can read and send the letter from our site here.
You can even edit the body of the letter to say anything you’d like. Just remember, effective emails are courteous. Be firm if you like, but polite. We only need to sway one council member’s vote and your email could be the one to do it!
Happy Mother’s Day!
